A picture of Prof. Sarah C. Haan

Prof. Haan writes at the intersection of corporate law and democracy. A graduate of Yale College and Columbia Law School, she has published articles in leading law reviews, such as the Yale Law Journal, the Stanford Law Review, and the Southern California Law Review.

Two of her recent articles were named among the top ten corporate and securities law articles in the U.S. for 2022 and 2024 and another article was named the most popular article published by ProMarket in all of 2025. Professor Haan teaches courses on corporate law, shareholder activism and voting rights, proxy fights and corporate elections, and the law of money in politics.
